Activities

Basics » Principles » Activities

Activities show that you need to work on an element (Epic, User Story, Test Case) to complete it. The activities are displayed in a column in the header of the detailed view as well as in the tile view of Epics, User Stories, and Test Cases with icons, colors, and numbers.

The activities are set automatically.

ElementActivity
EpicFill in the description.

Create at least one User Story related to this Epic.
User StoryFill in the description.

Create at least one Test Case related to this User Story.
Test CaseFill in the description.

Create at least one precondition or mark the preconditions section as intentionally left blank.

Create at least one test step for each section in the test sequence or mark the sections intentionally left blank.

Execute the Test Case.
DefectClose resolved Defects.

The activity counter automatically adjusts itself once you have finished working on an activity.

Each activity is also given a severity level to indicate its urgency. There are three severity levels: 

SeverityDescription
Info 
The activity was set less than seven days ago.
Flash 
The activity is set more than six days ago but less than fourteen days ago.
Flame 
The activity was set more than thirteen days ago.

In the tile view, the "Flame" state is additionally indicated with a red bar at the right edge of the tile.

By clicking on an activity icon, you can open the list of open activities displayed in the order of severity.

In the list, each entry shows the missing activity in the first row as well as the icon and name of the affected element in the second row. 

If the current element is affected, the second row is not displayed:

 Activities List Of The Current User Story
List of activities of the displayed User Story. 

With a click on an entry of the list, you can jump to the affected element.
